CFD Firefighters got an early start this morning when the tones sounded for a residential fire on N. University Ave. near St. Louis St.  Engine 34 responded and reported smoke showing.  Fireground operations were set up and other units responding were Engine 31, Scott Engine 51 and Tanker 51.  Lafayette E-9 also assisted on automatic aid.  Firefighters knocked the fire down and limited the damage to the rear bedroom.
